Out of Step
In my little family of four, each one of us is out of step with what we see around us. I used to be afraid of my differences but the instant I gave birth to my babies, my fears flew out the window. To build my boys, I knew I had to live authentically, truthfully, and out of step. I fueled my business with my differences which ultimately became the reason why people worked with me. We all live with invisible struggles and differences that make us stand out or feel like castaways. However, these things that make us feel out of step with everyone else, can also be our greatest gifts. So, what is it? What makes you different? Will that difference raise you up or swallow you? What things can you do to allow your difference to lift and build you?
“Here's to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They're not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do.”
